Dear Dr Holland,

Thank you for your email. I sympathise over what publishers omit. This is frustrating. I am surprised if Paternoster did not jump at the chance to publish it in full, but perhaps you were already committed to Mentor when they fussed over length.

I entirely agree with you about Paul’s structural or corporate thinking: this is the key contribution of your book.

Best wishes,

Anthony Thiselton

Dear Prof Thiselton,

I am very grateful for your review of my book Contours of Pauline Theology. Your criticism is entirely valid but I regret mostly due to the insistence of the publisher that it should be edited to make the work more accessible. I attach the original copy of the chapter on baptism in case you might like to see the fuller argument that I made. I would be very happy to supply the full version of the entire text if you should be interested.

With grateful thanks

Tom Holland
